Pull stroke procedures emphasize using standard rod diameter. And to determine that use these steps.

First figure out the value of “L”.

Then from the cylinder size and the highest operating pressure you can figure out the pull stroke from the thrust.

You will be about to see the thrust column on the chart, then read the rod diameter and that will tell you the rod diameter for your procedure.

Example

adjust L of 80 degrees at 16000 # would need 2-1/2″ rod in the cylinder.
