Lip seals are common to use in these units. You can easily take these seals out, but when you take out the input or output seal, you will need to take out the transmission from your machine. You will need to take off the seal gently out of the housing bore. Try not to damage the shaft, bore hole or the housing. Then you take out the seal and throw it away, it is not reusable.Before you put in the new seal, clean the shaft extension, put grease on it good, use clean fluids so the seal doesn’t get messed up. Then put the seal over the shaft and push it into the housing bore.
